Marc Zev grew up in the San Fernando Valley in Southern California. He worked through college and graduated with a degree in engineering. He later went on to earn a Master’s degree in engineering.
After college he worked for a defense contractor developing computer programs to aid in the defense and protection of American soldiers, and then he worked for an internationally renowned accident analysis firm where he participated in the analysis of such high profile events as the United Airlines Sioux City crash and the Exxon Valdez accident.
Marc’s career went on to include running a profitable consulting company while staying at home raising his son, working for two Dot-Coms, and starting his own company to produce his patented math manipulative, known commercially as Math Flaps. Eventually, he sold the rights to Math Flaps to The Wright Group/McGraw-Hill, publisher of one of the best selling math curricula in the nation.
Currently, Marc owns his own business, has written three books, has developed problem solving curriculum for students in grades 1-5, and is the founder of the non-profit Foundation for Innovative Learning.
In all, he has over 25 years experience as an engineer, inventor, author and educator.
